We are looking for temporary colleagues for spring/summer 2026 in Home Transport and the Reconditioning Department, are you one of them?

We offer you a full-time position from Monday to Friday with flexible working hours. The Assistive Technology Center of Eastern Skåne is located in the Ängamöllan industrial area, in close proximity to bus services.

Your Role with Us

The position as a technician with us includes, among other things, reconditioning as well as transport/delivery of assistive devices, but may also involve repairs, assembly, and maintenance. Transport of assistive devices to home addresses is done in a light truck that can be driven with a B license. There are three different specializations of technicians in the unit:

• Home Transport/Transport: Primarily delivers and picks up assistive devices at the user's home or in municipal storage, but also involves the assembly of various assistive devices on-site at the user's location. In Home Transport, you always work in pairs of two technicians, while Transport is a solo job.
• Reconditioning: Works alone but belongs to a group of technicians who work in the workshop to recondition, restore, and adapt assistive devices.
• Field Service: Primarily works independently and is responsible for repairs, preventive maintenance, inspections, adaptations, etc., at customers/users in Eastern Skåne.

Within the unit, which currently consists of 18 permanent positions, we support each other and may step into other roles at short notice where the need arises.

Who Are We Looking For?

You who apply have a three-year high school diploma preferably with a technical focus on industrial/vehicle technology or other experience deemed equivalent by the employer. We also appreciate familiarity with tools and experience in workshop work, assembly, or similar.

As a technician, you have a great deal of responsibility and plan your work and/or transport routes yourself, but also together in a group, which requires both teamwork skills and organizational skills.

All work performed is communicated and reported through our operational system. It is crucial that this is done correctly for the workflow to function both within the workplace and externally, which means you have basic computer skills.

Contact with clients and users occurs daily, which requires you to have good social skills as well as the ability to communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written, with various individuals/functions.

You who apply to us must have a B driver's license to easily get around to our clients. Since there may be heavy lifting and some uncomfortable working positions, as well as a lot of movement during a workday, it is required that you have good physical ability. As a person, you are calm and stable in stressful situations and can focus on the right things. We meet people who may be in emotionally difficult situations, which requires you to be good at reading the situation and adapting accordingly. You approach others in a service-oriented and accommodating manner.

Furthermore, we want you to be flexible and quickly adapt to new conditions, seeing opportunities in changes.

At times, the workload may be higher, so you need to be stress-resistant. You need to understand the flow that exists in the organization. It is a given for you to deliver good service and high quality. You have the ability to plan and organize your work, but you also easily set goals, organize resources, follow up, and complete activities.

The Assistive Technology Center of Eastern Skåne (HÖS) coordinates the supply of assistive devices for the municipalities of Bromölla, Östra Göinge, Osby, Hässleholm, Kristianstad, Hörby, Simrishamn, Sjöbo, Skurup, Tomelilla, and Ystad. These municipalities have come together in a joint committee where Kristianstad Municipality is the host municipality, and HÖS is organized under the Social Services Administration. We are located at Kabelvägen 17 in Kristianstad and we have 43 employees.

HÖS's mission includes providing purchasing, storage, technical service, advice, testing, recirculation, distribution, training, information, IT support, and environmentally friendly disposal of assistive devices.

The Social Services Administration's operations target the elderly and individuals who need functional support, as well as those requiring home healthcare. The operations are functionally divided into four areas: support in ordinary housing, support in care and nursing homes, health and medical care, and functional support. The administration also includes the authority unit, national gymnasium, and the assistive technology center in Eastern Skåne.
